You do not need to choose a technique before you arrive. Start by explaining what has been happening and asking the questions that matter to you.
Talk and assess
Rory asks about your main concern, health history, medicines and current care. Bring relevant reports and tell him what you want to do more comfortably.
Decide together
Options, possible risks and alternatives are explained. Treatment may begin at the first visit where appropriate; medical review or referral may be suggested instead. Consent is ongoing: you can decline, ask questions or stop.
Agree on a review
Frequency is individualised, not an automatic long treatment package. Ongoing appointments depend on a continuing clinical need, a useful response and your preferences.
